Stephen Richmond and Jonathan Whitlam take a look at most types of machine to bear the David Brown name starting with the VAK 1. They take us through the Cropmaster and 25 and 30 machines into the era of the Implematic range.
When the new Selectamatic tractors made their debut the main colour changed from hunting pink to orchid white. The popular 885, 995, 996 and larger 1212 models then held fort through the change of ownership as the company became part of the JI Case business.
Although the 90 Series of 1979 were the last tractors to proudly carry the David Brown name, the product continued as the Case and later Case IH 94 Series. All these tractors are featured with many examples shown at work out in the fields doing the job for which they were built – farming the land!
