UK Heavyhaul presents current day Heavy Haulage movements in the UK from the very tip of the southwest at Lands End to the north coast of Scotland.
David Lee supported by a great band of photographers across the UK and beyond presents some of the biggest and the best of operations photographed and presented under categories such as earthmovers, generating equipment, windfarm components, cranes, crawler cranes and mobile cranes, dumptrucks and scrapers, bulldozers, crushers and screeners, piling and drilling rigs, railway stock, military, boats and vessels and more.
All of the well known English, Welsh, Scottish, Northern Irish contractors and operators are featured:- Allelys, ALE, Collett, Rawcliffe, Heanor, HC Wilson, T.W. Bowler, GCS Johnson, West of Scotland, Cadzow, Mc Fadyens, Mar-Train etc - as well as many of the other companies who undertake heavy movements across the UK.
Visitors to the UK also feature as well as companies from beyond the border in the island of Ireland. Also featured are the vehicles - cranes and support vehicles - of operators and contractors from the heavy crane industry in the UK including Ainscough, Baldwins, James Jack, Mammoet, Windhoist, King Lifting and Global Port Services. In total the number of different companies - heavy haulage and crane operators - featured in the book exceeds 160 in number.
